Amelia Kerr is the Player of the Match! Here's what she has to say: Always nice to win these games and give yourself a chance to winning the title. From the team's perspective, we were not sure about how the wicket was going to play, but the way Grace went out there and played with freedom, think we adapted pretty well but we could've done better at few things but our seamers outstanding. Hank and Sippel, those bowling spells win you games, they were incredible today. I don't have the ball striking skill like Harris', for me it's about playing my shots, try to access different areas, probably with my hands, hitting through the off-side, nice to do well. Think the pitch was a little bit difficult to bat on, if you get the lengths right and slower balls were effective, we did well there in that and kept things simple. Exciting tomorrow's match, Perth are a quality team and it's going to be quite a challenge, they've got world class players. But it's just another game, turn up and do the same process, see what happens.
Brisbane Heat Women beat Sydney Thunder Women by 44 runs!
The Sydney Thunder Women seemed to be on course for a big win here- they certainly got off to a good start- but once Tahlia Wilson was run out inadvertently after Chamari Athapaththu was guilty of ball-watching, their innings fell apart.
Athapaththu tried her best to step on the gas but after she departed in the tenth over, none of the other batters in the Thunder lineup stood up and took the responsibility to anchor this chase.
A lot was expected of Phoebe Litchfield, Heather Knight and Marizanne Kapp, but they all failed to perform. Knight seemed to be quite in control of things, but she could not quite take the game deep. Had she done so, the result may have been different.
The Heat, however, emerged as the deserving winners of this game and will now take on Perth Scorchers at the WACA tomorrow in the Challenger. They completely outplayed Sydney Thunder Women today.
The latter, who had a terrific season, will feel rather unfortunate for having missed out today. However, they improved exponentially from last season when they had won just one game.
The Heat do it! They will now take on Perth Scorchers Women in the challenger tomorrow!

19.6 Courtney Sippel to Lauren Smith, RUN-OUT! BRISBANE HEAT INTO THE CHALLENGER! They'll be facing Perth Scorchers tomorrow. Heat humble the Thunder. There's an appeal for a run-out there, umpire takes it upstairs. Back of a length over the stumps, Smith swings and misses. Redmayne was sharp as she darts it into the stumps.
Replays confirmed that Smith was casual to slide her bat in and finds herself short.
Lauren Smith run out (Georgia Redmayne) 9 (10b 1x4 0x6)
19.5 Courtney Sippel to Lauren Smith, OH! Back of a length outside the off-stump, Smith looks to ramp it over the keeper's head, but toe ends i into the off-side.
Harris, who is mic'd up, says that she lost it in the lights, but should have taken the catch anyways!
19.4 Courtney Sippel to Hannah Darlington, DROPPED! Grace Harris drops a sitter running in from long-on. Pace off, Darlington had to generate all the power, but has skied it and Harris runs in from deep and shells it.
19.3 Courtney Sippel to Hannah Darlington, length delivery on the fourth stump, Darlington has a big swing and a miss.
