That's it from the coverage, hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh signing off
Muhammad Waseem (Man of the Match): I enjoyed my batting, it was a good pitch. (On his celebration) That was for my wife. Actually, I am aiming to play down the ground and on-side
Kieron Pollard: We started well with the bat. Waseem was brilliant and that's what he always does. It's a challenge to lead the side with experienced and in-experinced players. Nicholas missed out tonight but Mousley did well in his debut match
Colin Munro: From the word go, we were put under pressure. Chasing a score like that a lot has to go our way but we lost wickets in clusters. It was a wrong decision. The wicket got skiddier and faster under the lights. Really disappointing fielding performance, hopefully, we can comeback stronger in the next game
MI Emirates won by 157 runs
A thumping win for MI Emirates as they steamrolled the Vipers and won by a humongous margin. Chasing a huge score of 242, the Vipers' batters were plagued by Trent Boult and Farooqi as the duo ran through the top order. In a wicket where Pollard and Waseem smashed boundaries and sixes for fun, the Vipers' batters struggled to cope with the movement of the pitch initially. They lost six wickets inside the powerplay and that's the reason for their downfall
The scorecard is a forgettable reading for the Vipers but credit should go the Emirates' pacers for using the swinging conditions effectively.
12.1 Imran Tahir to Mark Watt, OUT! THE VIPERS ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 84. A mammoth 157-run win for MI Emirates. On a good length bowled quicker angling across off, Watt comes down the track and drives it to extra cover. Boult leaps and takes it superbly
