That's it for the double-header from the ILT20 for tonight. More cricket comes your way tomorrow. Do join us then. For now, good night, sleep tight and take care. Bye.
Adam Zampa | Player of the Match: Good to be here. We're used to that now, coming into new environments, fitting in as soon as possible. I've played in the UAE quite a bit, we've had the World Cup and some of the IPLs here too. They got off to a flier and had some dangerous guys in the middle, so it was good to make a difference. We're in the must-win zone now. This was an important game and it slipped through our fingers.
Colin Munro | Desert Vipers captain: I thought they bowled exceptionally well, and other players stepped up today, not just Alex Hales. We were a few runs short, but we bowled outstandingly well to defend it. I thought the way TC [Curran] came in and bowled three in the end, same with Pathirana, was excellent. I thought tonight, spin was tough to hit so I bowled Hasaranga and Mustafa for eight overs straight.
Rovman Powell | Dubai Capitals captain: It's pretty disappointing. I think going into the last 5, the game was ours, but credit has to be given to them, I think they bowled brilliantly in the last 5. It's those 2 points that we really needed. Hopefully it doesn't hurt us, we still have three more games and need to focus on those. Credit has to be given to our bowlers the way we bowled in the last 8 overs was commendable, but if we could get a start that would have been ideal. But all in all, there are some positive that we can take from this game. (On Adam Zampa) He's a world class bowler who can come and deliver a world class performance. That is why he is here, he has done well wherever he has played. It's good to have him as an addition to the team. We have a few days off to get our opening combination right.
Match summary: Dubai Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl
Desert Vipers 1st innings 149/9 (20 Overs) Colin Munro 40(32) | Adam Zampa 3/16 (4)
Dubai Capitals 2nd innings 137/5 (20 Overs) Yusuf Pathan 35*(26) | Rohan Mustafa 2/27 (4)
Desert Vipers win by 12 runs
What a comeback win from the Vipers thanks to exceptional death bowling from Pathirana and Tom Curran.
The Capitals had the chase despite losing early wickets as the ball moved around as Rovman Powell and Sikandar Raza rebuilt and then opened out.
But Raza fell at the wrong time and Yusuf Pathan came in to strike some hefty blows.
With 34 needed off 24, what followed was a death-bowling masterclass with Pathirana and Curran nailing their yorkers and not giving anything to hit.
Powell and Yusuf were denied the chance to free their arms and thus the Vipers pulled off a sensational comeback win.
The Vipers go top of the table and the Capitals' struggles continue with them lying just above the bottom-placed Knight Riders.
Stay tuned for the presentation...

19.6 Tom Curran to Rovman Powell, slower one dug onto the pitch outside off stump, Powell swings with all his might, misses, Billings makes the stop and Curran lets out a roar! The Dubai Capitals make an absolute meal of this run-chase! The Desert Vipers stick to their guns, and complete a successful fight back! They take this game by 12 runs and climb to the top of the points table!
19.5 Tom Curran to Rovman Powell, Curran redeems himself in an instant! Lands it right on the popping crease at the batting end, just outside off stump, Powell lets it go thinking he'd get another wide call but it is well inside the tramline!
19.5 Tom Curran to Rovman Powell, wide, slower one, but the line is wrong! The line is wrong! Down the leg side! Two sixes can still tie this game.....
19.4 Tom Curran to Yusuf Pathan, full and straight, right up there in the blockhole, Pathan can only drill it down to long-on for a single! The game is gone from the Capitals, albeit mathematically!
