We now come to the conclusion of our coverage of cricket for the day. There's heaps of cricketing action to come tomorrow, as always. Keep an eye on our tabs for our coverage of the same! This is Rajarshi Das, signing off. Good night!
The dew factor helped the Emirates Blues immensely in making a game out of a steep target. Aryan Saxena played a statement knock, one that might push him up the pecking order in national colours. The youngster maintained great temperament throughout his knock, took the game to the last ball with some really dazzling stroke-play, but just wasn't able to get enough bat on the last ball and get his team over the line.
The start to the chase was rather bizarre. Wasim Akram sprayed the ball all over the place, testing his keeper on numerous occasions, but managed to nip two early wickets. Gradually, it turned out to be a one-man show as skipper Saxena took the game by the scruff of the neck. The youngster steadied the ship alongside Shalom D'Souza as the duo kept the required rate in check. The Blues picked up pace towards the latter stages, but ended up falling short eventually as Yug Sharma held his nerve.
