Thanks a lot for joining us at Sportskeeda for the live coverage of this exciting game in the Maharaja Trophy between Mysore Warriors and Mangalore Dragons. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, ciao and take care!
Karun Nair (Player of the Match) - Of course, happy with how we played both these games. We always know that we have the potential to beat any team. Everyone is stepping up whenever they get an opportunity. It doesn't matter. At the start, the aim is the top four and you know that you have to beat everyone to win the trophy. We know the individuals and it's all about finding ways to get the best out of them
Karun Nair collects an orange cap. He overtakes Abhinav Manohar as the leading run scorer in this tournament
Mysore Warriors beat Mangalore Dragons by 6 wickets!
Mysore Warriors picked up a comfortable win over stragglers Mangalore Dragons in this game, and most of it was due to the stunning knock that skipper Karun Nair played for them.
The opening duo of the two Karthiks - CA and SU - seemed to be going at a snail's pace, and it was only after Nair came in that the momentum changed in this game.
Mangalore seemed to be bowling well in areas until the Mysore skipper walked in to bat and changed the equations completely. This game was practically of no consequence as Mysore have already qualified for the semifinal and Mangalore have been knocked out of the race.
However, the former's stunning showing will help them tremendously ahead of the playoffs and allow their players to go into it in a rich vein of form. As for Mangalore, their torrid run in this tournament continues with their final clash against Bengaluru Blasters tomorrow.
