That will be all from the Junction Oval in Melbourne. Join us again for more WBBL action tomorrow as Melbourne Stars Women take on Hobart Hurricans Women. This is the pair of Mohul and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Sydney Thunder Women made doubly sure right through the innings that run scoring will be difficult against them. The bowling was top class, backed up by some brilliant fielding, especially in the outfield.
Hannah Darlington bowled tremendously, taking 4 wickets for 33 runs. Marizanne Kapp went at less than 6-an-over, picking up 2 wickets. The spinners bowled well and kept the runs down as well. The best part about it is that Chamari Atapattu and skipper Heather Knight continue to slip in with some important overs game after game.
The Renegades Women needed some impetus right at the top of the order. But they were not given the chance to go after the bowling to be honest. Harmanpreet Kaur's fireworks were required today, but, even that did not come through. They did reasonably well to get to 150, but right the charge went missing today and they fell comfortably short.
So, the Thunder Women get their 3rd win in 4 matches but the red team from Melbourne are still to get pick up pace with a flurry of wins.
