So, that will be it for the first game of the day at Lauderhill. But, stay tuned for the next one coming up in just a few minutes. Do switch tabs and follow us for that one. For now, this is the pair of Pradeep and Bidipto bidding adieu. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Aaron Finch [California Knights captain]: I think the best and simple way of putting things with the bat in such a short game is to stick to your plans and keep it simple. Ashley Nurse hits the ball long and hard and that came good today. The bowlers are really adaptive these days, so, they know how to go about their work. I think we need to keep things as straightforward as possible for tomorrow and not complicate matters much.
Irfan Pathan is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: Needed to be ready, with the weather and ground conditions, need to make sure with whatever situation comes, you need to take it and move on. Felt that, first two balls no runs, just needed to smack a couple and did that later and felt better. Just want to take one game at a time, we have Raina coming up in the next game and here to do something special in the upcoming games. Just go all out in the T10 format, playing in this format, you feel like you have less time, loving it!
Gautam Gambhir [New Jersey Triton's captain]: It's just that kind of a tournament, we lost the momentum after the third game and just couldn't get it back, sometimes five over contest is all about. We just needed to bowl better, it was a collective failure and need to accept it, come back better next season. Need to be positive and execute our plans better.
California Knights win by 24 runs!
Irfan Pathan 31* (13) | Ben Laughlin - 2/7 (1) Chris Barnwell 29 (15) | Liam Plunkett - 1/10 (1)
New Jersey needed to go crash, bang, wallop right from ball one but they did not quite get the overs they needed to do so. And in the end, fell way short of the target.
All the batters who went out to bat tried to swing the bat hard and clear the boundaries but could not quite get the job done. The bowling from all the California bowlers was pretty impressive under pressure. Ben Laughlin bowled a superb final over to pick up 2 wickets giving away only 7 runs.
So, with this win, the Knights move to the top and stay in contention of finishing in the top two. As for New Jersey, they will have to come back stronger next season as their inaugural tournament is over.

4.6 Ben Laughlin to Cameron Delport, THAT IS THAT! New Jersey Triton's are knocked out of the tournament here, California Knights are looking good to stay at the top two. Length delivery outside the off-stump, Delport smacked it to long-on for just one.
Cameron Delport, RHB, is at the crease.
4.5 Ben Laughlin to Jesse Ryder, OUT! TIMBER! OH! What just happened there? At first it looked like the outside edge, but that knocks the top of off-stump and Ryder has to go. Back of a length on the stumps, Ryder backed away to get but misses, clips the top of off-stump.
Jesse Ryder b Ben Laughlin 14 (11b, 0x4, 1x6)
4.4 Ben Laughlin to Peter Trego, too full on the stumps, Trego camps back to heave but mistimed it down to long-on for just one.
