Right, so our coverage of cricket comes to an end for the day. There's plenty to come tomorrow, though, as is the case all the time. Keep an eye on our tabs for our coverage of the same! This is Rajarshi Das, signing off on behalf of Pradeep Somasekhar. Good night - see you tomorrow!
They were always behind the 8-ball, were the Settlers in the run-chase. But the equation was never really out of their hands - Kevin Stoute and Demetrius Richards kept them in the game towards the latter stages of the innings. Perhaps a bit more from their top order would have helped the Settlers in clinching this one - too many deliveries were taken by the top-order in getting going!
The duo of Jair McAllister and Ryshon Williams made sure that the Settlers never really settled into this chase in the powerplay. McAllister, with his hard lengths and occasional change of pace, accounted for both the openers in his first over itself. Marlon Welcome-Goodman then began finding the boundaries for the Settlers, but as the middle overs progressed, the flow of boundaries reduced.
It wasn't until Kevin Stoute arrived that the equation came in the balance. Stoute, soon joined by Demetrius Richards after the fall of Welcome-Goodman, kept the Settlers in it with some clean striking of the cricket ball. But across the last over, both batters departed in quick succession as Garry Austin killed off any momentum they got with a more than tidy penultimate over. Shakkae Marshall and Zidane Clarke got a few off the screws the last over, but the game was out of their hands by then.

9.6 Jamali Lynch to Shakkae Marshall, TOP EDGED AND FOUR! Not enough to seal the game as Lynch holds on to his nerve. Short into the batter, Marshal swivels to pull but top edged it down to third-man, runs away to find the ropes.
9.5 Jamali Lynch to Shakkae Marshall, SIX MORE! Too little too late this for the Settlers. Length delivery on the stumps, Marshall smokes it all the way over long-on for a maximum.
9.4 Jamali Lynch to Zidane Clarke, back of a length on the middle and off, Clarke shuffles across and swipes it down to fine-leg, they come back for the third.
9.3 Jamali Lynch to Zidane Clarke, FOUR! Another top effort but goes in vain, it's a boundary. Full outside the off-stump, Clarke skips down the track and slices it to deep covers, fielder comes running forward, dives but falls just short and goes to the fence.
9.2 Jamali Lynch to Zidane Clarke, great change of pace, angled it across left-hander on the fifth stump. Clarke reaches to cut too early and misses.
Zidane Clarke, LHB, comes to the crease
That might just be the last of Settlers' hopes gone!
