Hubli Tigers needed just 51 runs to win this game off 5 overs, and given the propensity with which a certain gentleman named Mohammed Taha scores, it would not have been too difficult. And so it proved.

It did seem at one stage that Shivamogga Lions may have got ahead when they picked up the wicket of Taha's fellow opener, the impact player Thippa Reddy, but the tables soon turned when KL Shrijith walked out to bat.

Then came Hardik Raj, whom skipper Nihal Ullal trusted to bowl the third over against a boisterous Taha and increasingly volatile-looking Shrijith. He conceded 23 runs in that over and allowed Hubli to all but cruise to victory.

Although Pradeep T bagged the wicket of Taha in the very next over, skipper Manish Pandey arrived at the crease and ensured that there were no further hiccups and Hubli got their fourth win in a row in this tournament.
