The Kings get their third consecutive win, while the Risers suffer their third straight loss of the tournament. They fought hard in the run chase but couldn't accelerate at the right time. The partnership between Lewin and Bryan injected some momentum into the innings but both failed to convert their starts into a big score.
Kashaine Robers then took the onus and came up with a few big hits but Jameel Bryan's struggle at the other end couldn't help the team's cause. The result would've been different had Morant batted higher up the order. The Kings' pacers were pivotal in the defense as they bowled in the right areas and never allowed the batters to free their arms. Russell bowled an all-important penultimate over and conceded just six runs and that turned out to be vital at that stage for the Kings
