The skies get murky after the game ends. That has been the story thus far today - we've had a couple of long interruptions in play as the weather had a telling say for the first time in this competition. Akeem Springer, in the first innings, was going all guns blazing, making up for the struggle of his skipper, the experienced Dwayne Smith at the other end. The Voyagers were set for a total in excess of 120, only for the rain to put an end to their innings.
A target of 63 off 6 overs was always going to favour the chasing side. Same was the case for the Warriors. They started off well with 11 in the first over, but were tied down a touch in the second. Marradon Bend's wicket turned out to be a blessing in disguise for them - Jonathan Carter came in and took the game by the scruff of the neck!
Carter eventually went on to smash 33 out of the eventual 57 by the Warriors. Some of the hits were humongous - the houses in the neighborhood were in danger while the all-rounder was in the middle! With help from Alcindo Holder and Yvan Grant, Carter guided the Warriors through with a delivery to spare, handing his side a much-needed win.
