5 Minecraft-modded features fans want in the Vanilla game

Minecraft has many features that make it interesting. From farming different animals and growing crops to using the Redstone for making complicated machinery, the list runs long. But that does not mean that fans do not want more. In fact, the case is quite the contrary. Players want more features to make the game more interesting and fun.

And the best part about it is Mojang Studios has ready-made ideas as there are some great mods available. Many of these add unique features and some of these are so good that they definitely deserve to be added to Vanilla Minecraft.

This article will list down five modded features that should come to the Vanilla version of Minecraft. These can only be added using mods at the moment.

1) Dynamic torches

Dynamic torches could be a great addition to the Vanilla version of the game. These are the special kind of torches that light up the area even when they are held in the hand. So instead of placing hundreds of torches and then running out of them in a deep cave, one can just hold the torch and find the way ahead.

Having a dynamic torch that lights up the path in real-time makes the gameplay feel more immersive, realistic, and, at times, scary as well. Moreover, since torches are extremely cheap and easy to make, having multiple of these things and placing them all around is just tedious and not challenging at all.

2) More crops and animals

Many players do not like to fight hostile mobs such as the Breeze or even want to defeat the Ender Dragon. All they want is to live peacefully, farm animals, and grow crops. But that does not feel complete as there are only a few crops and plants to grow and even lesser animals in the game. Minecraft sorely needs a wildlife update that adds more flora and fauna.

Better Farm Animals is one such mod that adds a lot of passive mobs to the game that players can farm. They give many interesting and useful items and it's a great way of making the game more layered.

Populating the forests and other biomes with more animals, and more importantly adding ambiance to these biomes, is very important to make the game feel more immersive. For years all the biomes in the game have felt more or less the same, and it is the perfect time to change that by adding more animals.

3) Waystones (Teleportation)

The Minecraft world is extremely vast. It is so large that it would take years if a player were to walk from one edge of the map to the other.

Unfortunately, the size of the game can never be used as an advantage because there is no means of traveling long distances. Horses can be used to travel but not too far.

While there are ways to reach high speeds, most commonly by using an elytra or boat on blue ice, these are not easy or even viable in most situations. Mojang Studios should add a way of teleporting such as the Waystone mod to different areas so that players can make bases all around the map in different biomes and easily travel to them without much hassle.

4) Enchantment mover

One can use the grindstone to remove the enhancement from an item. But here is the issue: it completely destroys the enchantment rendering it useless. Even if an enchantment is unwanted, it is always better to move it to some other item rather than destroy it. So having a method of moving the enchantments such as the Enchantment Transfer mod would certainly be a welcome addition.

This mod allows players to easily transfer the enchantments from one item to the other instead of destroying it.

5) Better animations

Finally, one of the worst things about Minecraft is how it looks and feels. The graphics look dated but it is the animations that take the most toll. From the walking and eating to basic movements and combat, everything in the animation feels choppy and old. Maybe in the 1.22 update, the developers might think of adding something along the lines.

They can take inspiration from the Better Animation mod that makes everything in the game more fluid and smoother. Even a subtle change would be a game changer, quite literally.
