5 popular Minecraft fan suggestions for the game

Over 15 years, Mojang Studios has brought a lot of features and changes to Minecraft. Apart from developers, the bustling community of the game has also voiced concerns and indirectly helped the game grow and change into what it is today. To this day, the player base talks about various changes and additions they would like to see Mojang Studios make to the game.

Here are some of the most popular fan suggestions to change, remove, or add features to Minecraft.

Note: This article is subjective since these fan suggestions were picked up from the Minecraft Suggestions Reddit page in 2024.

List of five popular fan suggestions for changes in Minecraft

1) Vertical terrain in the End realm

A Redditor named u/COG-85 wants the End dimension to have more vertical terrain generation. Their reasoning was that since Elytra and teleportation are two of the main features of the realm, it should have higher (and also lower) terrain generation.

This could also play out perfectly since thousands of players have been urging Mojang Studios to bring major changes to the desolate realm where the Ender Dragon resides.

2) Rice as a new crop

Another Redditor by the name of u/PsychologicalSea6188 gave an amusing but thought-provoking suggestion that rice be added to Minecraft as a crop. They talked about how it could be used to craft new consumable food items. This suggestion got a lot of traction in the community and many Redditors joined the discussion.

Hence, rice, and other crops can also be added by Mojang Studios. These additions will further enhance the farming aspect of the game.

3) New Aligator mob

A Redditor by the name of u/Starset_fan-2047 posted concept art of an Alligator and suggested that it be added to the sandbox. The post was quite popular on the Minecraft Suggestions page as many discussed how the mob could work in the game, possibly giving players special items used to create stronger gear.

Alligators are great real-life animals that can feature in Minecraft in the future, especially since Mojang Studios has added many animals during major updates.

4) New self-changing dimension

Each of the three realms in Minecraft has a unique biome, day and night system, mobs, and block set. However, some players have felt that this is quite static. Basically, nothing changes in these dimensions automatically without the player's intervention.

Hence, a Redditor named u/adstrict4527 posted that the game's new dimension should have certain natural calamities, seasons, or other features that allow it to change constantly even if players do not intervene.

The addition of a new dimension itself has been a popular feature the community craves from Mojang Studios.

5) Remove the "Too Expensive" issue from anvil

"Too Expensive" is an error message in anvil when the enchanting cost of a tool becomes way too much. This has annoyed several players in the past since they are prevented from adding more enchantments to gear even though they have ample XP to spare.

Hence, several players want the "Too Expensive" error message on anvils to be removed from the game.
