All features confirmed for Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop
Minecraft recently announced their upcoming drop called Bundles of Bravery. Mojang revealed it during their annual event and talked about what is about to come with the first official game drop. Despite being smaller in size, these game drops will be released more frequently throughout the year.
This article discusses the new features that are being added with Minecraft Bundles of Bravery.
Every new feature confirmed for Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop
Bundles
The bundle is the star of Minecraft's Bundles of Bravery update. Though this is a new item coming to the sandbox, it was announced and introduced way back in 2020, when Mojang Studios revealed the Caves and Cliffs update. However, they were not satisfied with how the bundle interacted on various devices, especially mobiles and handheld consoles. Hence, it was pushed aside for nearly four years.
In August 2024, Mojang finally confirmed that they have restarted their work on bundles and will soon add them to an upcoming update. They changed its entire UI system and even added new colorful variants of bundles that players can create by dyeing them on the crafting table.
Bundles are small pouch-like items that players can craft using leather and string, and use to store up to 64 items. The items can either be of the same type, or different, but should not exceed 64 units. Once filled, it can also be dropped for other players to pick up.
New Banner Patterns for Java Edition
Both Java and Bedrock Edition have had various banner patterns that players can use. Most of these patterns were the same across both editions, but two of them were exclusive to Bedrock: Field Masoned and Bordure Indented. With the Bundles of Bravery update, Mojang plans to add these two banner patterns to Java Edition as well.
While the field masoned banner pattern can be made by crafting a block of bring and paper together, the bordure indented banner pattern can be crafted with a vine and paper.
Hardcore mode for Bedrock Edition
Another massive new feature that Mojang plans to add with Bundles of Bravery is the hardcore mode in Bedrock Edition. For several years now, the developers have been trying to bring both Bedrock and Java together, and this is a major step toward bringing parity between the two.
In the upcoming game drop, Bedrock players will be able to enjoy the high stakes of hardcore mode by selecting the difficulty before creating a new world. Hardcore mode will take away the chance of respawning and add permadeath. Furthermore, the overall game difficulty is locked to the hardest, which means that the number and strength of hostile mobs will increase dramatically.
For many years, Java players have enjoyed the hardcore game mode, which Bedrock players will soon be able to experience as well.
Other smaller features
Apart from these three major features, Mojang will also be adding baby dolphins, glow squids, and squids to the game. Moreover, salmons will now spawn in various sizes in the Java Edition. Several smaller command and technical changes have also been made.
