All YouTubers involved in the Minecraft Movie we know of so far
Minecraft's YouTube channel recently released a behind-the-scenes video of how the upcoming Minecraft Movie was planned and shot. The popular sandbox game will soon be depicted in a feature film with several A-list celebrities. Apart from Mojang being actively involved in the film's development, the film crew also invited some of the most famous YouTubers on the set to discuss the story and visuals.
Here is a list of all the YouTubers, who were invited to A Minecraft Movie's set.
Note: This list of YouTubers was only confirmed through the behind-the-scenes video. There could be others who also visited the set but were not featured in the video.
All known YouTubers that were involved in A Minecraft Movie development
On November 18, 2024, Mojang released a behind-the-scenes video of A Minecraft Movie ahead of its official trailer. This video also contains a segment, which shows how several YouTubers arrived on the film's set and were involved in the film's production.
Though nothing was revealed regarding their level of involvement, these creators were seen discussing the overall look and feel of the Minecraft world that was being portrayed in the film.
YouTubers that were featured in the BTS video were DanTDM, Aphmau, LDShadowLady, and Mumbo Jumbo. The filmmakers mentioned how these popular and long-standing Minecraft content creators had had a major role in shaping the film.
In the video, Mumbo Jumbo also talked about the idea of a cactus block catapult that can shoot cactus blocks toward enemies. He explained the idea while several small cactus blocks from the set hilariously stuck to his sweatshirt.
Other details showcased in the Minecraft Movie's BTS video
The BTS video also gave us a sneak peek into the film crew working on the production design for the set. Interestingly, several blocks and other items from the game have been recreated for the movie.
On top of it, all five main characters portrayed by Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myres, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen were seen filming and joking around with each other between takes. The footage also featured the director Jared Hess and producer Torfi Frans Olafsson.
