"Always on bugrock": Minecraft player loses Bedrock Hardcore world to a glitched baby zombie

Minecraft comes with unexpected surprises. Players might find interesting things in chests, rare metals in caves, and many more. But sometimes, they might find something that can surprise them in an unpleasant way. Despite the game being out for over 15 years, players encounter many bugs, especially in the Bedrock Edition.

Redditor Queasy_Policy1774 shared a clip on the game's subreddit showing them inside a tight space with a cobblestone block in front.

This barrier helped them avoid the horde of zombies, and they could easily kill them with their swords. However, after a few seconds, a baby zombie glitches and comes behind and kills the player.

This comment referred to the buggy and glitchy state of Minecraft's Bedrock Edition, which is infamous for such incidents. DreamyDollxXe said the baby zombie gave OP a skill check, which they failed.

Ondra_38 said that the OP lost a Hardcore world to a baby zombie wearing golden armor. This happens more often than one can imagine, and famous Minecraft YouTuber Ph1lza knows much about it. This was a reference to the YouTuber dying similarly.

Khreh wondered since when did Minecraft Bedrock get the Hardcore mode. Incyada replied that it came around a week ago, so it's still new. Hardcore mode was added to the Bedrock Edition with the Bundles of Bravery update, which also added the bundles to the game. The update is available across both versions and can be downloaded.

The Bundles of Bravery update added two long-awaited features: bundles and Hardcore mode. The latter had been missing in the Bedrock for over 11 years. One of the reasons this was the case could be the buggy nature of the Edition. Thankfully, Mojang is working on improving it and making it more stable.

However, in an official blog spot, the developers mentioned some bugs might show up and players need to keep some things in mind. A slow internet connection can cause problems while transferring a Creative world can lead to data corruption.
