How to get ready for Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop update
Minecraft Bundles of Bravery is on the horizon and players are wondering how they can prepare for the host of features set to be introduced soon. This drop will bring many new elements to the game, including the coveted bundles. Additionally, players can also expect many balancing changes to the existing gameplay features.
Here's how you can prepare for the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop and get a head start in this new update.
Getting ready for the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop update
1) Get ready to craft bundles in Minecraft
Bundles are one of the highlights of the upcoming Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop update. This handy item lets you store a mixed stack of up to 64 items. It has finally ascended its experimental phase and is making its way to the game. Here's what you will need to craft it:
- 1 String
- 1 leather
Once you have gathered the materials, here's how you can craft a bundle in Minecraft:
Place one string and one leather as shown in the pattern above to craft the bundle. Additionally, you have the option to dye your bundle and choose a preferred color. As of the latest 1.21.50.24 beta and preview, players will be offered 16 color variants, which they can change using dyes:
- White
- Light Gray
- Gray
- Black
- Brown
- Red
- Orange
- Yellow
- Green
- Lime
- Light Blue
- Cyan
- Purple
- Blue
- Magenta
- Pink
To dye your bundle, gather these materials:
- 1 bundle
- 1 dye of choice
Once these materials are collected, this is how you dye your bundle in Minecraft:
Place a bundle and a dye of your choice next to each other to craft the dyed bundle. These work exactly as regular ones and are just a cosmetic variation.
Bundles are set to be one of the most important tools since you can stack them inside each other, essentially creating a vast storage option for when you are out mining resources in far-off lands.

2) Two new banners are on their way
The Minecraft Bundles of Bravery brings two new banners to the game — Field Masoned and Bordure Indented. These two cosmetic options are great if you wish to deck your base or claim a piece of land as your own. The new banners can be crafted with these resources:
Field Masoned banner pattern
- 1 Paper
- 1 Bricks
Bordure Indented banner pattern
- 1 Paper
- 1 Vine
You can easily craft paper using three sugarcanes while you can collect vines from nature. As for bricks, you can mine them from existing structures or place four brick pieces in a square to get one set of bricks. Once you have the resources, here's how you can craft the two new banners in Minecraft:
Bordure Indented banner pattern
Place one vine and one paper next to each other on the crafting table to craft the Bordure Indented banner pattern. You can now use the pattern with a banner and dye using the Loom in Minecraft.
Field Masoned banner pattern
Place one unit of bricks and one paper next to each other on the crafting table to make the Field Masoned banner pattern. Like the other one, you can now use this pattern with a banner and dye at the Loom.
3) Gear up for Hardcore mode
One of the highlights of the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop is the arrival of the new Hardcore game mode. This is a modified version of the current survival mode where the world is locked at Hard difficulty. There is also a permadeath feature where players cannot respawn after dying.
You can prepare for Hardcore mode by keeping up to date on all the major features and changes in the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop as well as the upcoming Pale Garden biome if you wish to play in snapshots. It is recommended to have a survival strategy where your aim should be to guard yourself from the mobs and slowly build your base.
Hardcore mode is also arriving in Minecraft Realms and will enable players to create Hardcore Realms in-game. It will allow PVP and PVE experiences with the permadeath hardcore mode, adding new challenges to existing gameplay strategies.

4) Check out the updated creative inventory
Many items and blocks in the creative inventory have been reorganized in the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop to ensure the item sorting is more accurate. The Trial Chamber items like the ominous bottles and trial keys have been moved to the categories of potions and keys, respectively.
Clay bricks will now be placed before the slab groups while clay itself has been shifted from the construction category to the nature category, placed next to the mud block. Similarly, stone has been made the primary block of the stone group and moved to the front of the listing. Blocks like basalt and smooth basalt have been listed as stone along with the tuff blocks.
You can prepare for these changes by exploring the new and updated creative inventory. It is recommended to spend some hours in the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery preview to get an idea of the changes ahead of the release.
5) Explore the Minecarts and Redstone changes
The changes to the Minecarts and Redstone in Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop are especially significant if you are a technical fan and love playing around with devices in-game. The Redstone family is one of the most powerful groups of items that enables players to create insane builds such as the Insta-Kill Auto Turret.
The upcoming drop will introduce movements to the turning of the Minecarts and address changes to reduce their likeliness to halt suddenly. Modifications have also been introduced to the tilt animations to visually depict movement when aerial. A new feature also allows you to set a custom speed for the carts, ranging from 8 to 1000 blocks per second.
As part of the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery drop, Redstone has received upgrades to the performance impact of the wire as well as only triggering block updates on blocks that may receive power from the wire. The Redstone wires also received a left-first preference, where the left side is updated first if both sides of a fork have equal power. This will essentially eliminate randomization and allow for more predictable technical builds.
