How Minecraft bundles enabled players to keep most items in the inventory

Mojang released the long-awaited bundles in Minecraft's 1.21.3 Bundles of Bravery drop. These are essentially items that can be used to store a stack's worth of items, whether it is only one type of item or various items. Bundles were announced four years ago but were skipped in several updates, particularly because Mojang was working on its interactive UI.

With its release in recent game drop, it is safe to say that bundles have resolved many inventory issues players faced, one of them being sacrificing items from their inventory to create space.

Bundles in Minecraft eliminated the need to prioritize and remove items from inventory

Before the update, when players entered a new world, they quickly gathered loads of resources within the first few hours. After a while, they would realize that they were out of inventory space. The next natural step was to create a chest to store the items.

Hence, whenever players explored the world, they had to return to their base and store all the important loot before venturing out again.

An even worse scenario was that if players found something valuable, they either spent time organizing their inventory or removing items that were less important to make space for more important resources.

For example, players had to drop gold ore if they found diamond ore, even though gold can be used elsewhere if not in gear-making.

When bundles were released in the Minecraft 1.21.3 update, it solved several inventory issues that players were facing in the past. Bundles allowed players to retain more items in the inventory. The new item essentially eliminated the need to remove items from the inventory to make space for more important resources.

Players can simply craft a bundle using one leather and string, and drag and drop any item inside it. If players have multiple inventory slots filled with items that are not a full stack, bundles will be massively helpful as it can take all those items till they reach a full stack, and help players free up those inventory slots for more items.
