How to play Minecraft Creaking and Pale Garden in Bedrock preview and beta

In the 2024 Minecraft Live, Mojang announced a new hostile mob called Creaking and a new biome called Pale Garden. Both features are planned for an upcoming update arriving in winter. Fortunately, the developer has always publicly released its new features in Bedrock Edition beta and Java Edition snapshot versions before their official addition to the game.

In line with this, Mojang has released the mob and the biome in Minecraft Bedrock Edition's latest beta/preview version, 1.21.50.20. Here is how you can explore the new features.

Steps to explore Minecraft Creaking and Pale Garden in Bedrock Edition's latest beta/preview version

1) Download or update to the latest beta/preview version 1.21.50.20

First, you must download the latest Minecraft Bedrock Edition beta/preview 1.21.50.20. This can be done by heading to the device's store app and searching for Minecraft Preview. If you have not installed the beta version yet, it will automatically download the latest one, which includes Creaking and Pale Garden.

On the other hand, if you already have an older version, an update button will be visible. This can be used to download and install the latest 1.21.50.20.

2) Open Minecraft Launcher to start Minecraft Bedrock beta/preview

After downloading the new beta/preview version 1.21.50.20, you can open the Minecraft launcher and run the "latest preview" version after selecting the Bedrock Edition from the left panel.

The game will open and the main menu will look different, confirming that it is a preview and not an official version of Bedrock Edition.

3) Create a regular world and explore the Creaking and Pale Garden

When it comes to Java Edition's latest snapshot, you must enable the "Winter Drop" features from the Experiments tab while creating a new world. Only then will you be able to see Creaking and Pale Garden in a Minecraft world.

In Bedrock Edition's 1.21.50.20 beta/preview edition, however, you can simply create a new world without toggling anything in particular and still experience the new features. The Creaking and Pale Garden are not hidden under the experimental section of the game.

It is worth noting that you should not open an old world on the beta/preview version, since it can corrupt the world files. If you want to do so anyway, you must first create a backup of the Minecraft world.
