"I honestly like it! I’m excited!": Fans react to allegedly leaked A Minecraft Movie trailer
Ever since Warner Bros and Mojang Studios released the official teaser, which has rather divided the fanbase, Minecraft fans have been waiting for any news on the upcoming A Minecraft Movie. While there has been no word about the release of a trailer, it looks like it has been leaked on various social media platforms.
The leaked video featured almost double what the official teaser trailer had and introduced various in-game content. It also hinted at the storyline of the movie, which can either excite or disappoint many players.

The trailer was shared in a Reddit thread (now deleted), and players had conflicting reactions to it. Some users found the trailer to be decent, while others could not take it seriously. User u/Alpham3000, who belongs to the former category, commented:
"I honestly like it! I’m excited!"
To this, another user named u/Lumpy_Command_753, who is the original poster of the video, also agreed, and quoted that the movie might "turn out to be a fun bad movie".
User u/Regeditmyaxe, however, was of the opposing opinion as they felt the new leaked trailer looks just as bad as the reveal trailer.
Another user named u/whispyCrimson109 said that even though they disliked almost everything about the movie, they were excited about it before the criticism started. However, they are still not fond of the blocky appearance of the animals.
User u/Creeper_LORD44 commented on an unintentionally funny part from the trailer. The start of the trailer shows Steve saying, "Ever since I was a child, I yearned for the mines."
Another user u/TheMoonDude sarcastically pointed out the dark joke associated with the quote. User u/Vegetable_Run7792 also joined in this, saying that the kids are yearning for the mines.
The alleged leaked A Minecraft Movie trailer gives details on what fans can look forward to
The trailer for the upcoming A Minecraft Movie was leaked on Twitter and it soon spread across other platforms. Although the quality of the video was understandably poor, it gives players an idea about what’s going on in the movie. The trailer also featured some important mobs from the game such as the wolf, the chicken, and the iron golem.
Unfortunately, and as expected, all the videos and images of the trailer were taken down, leading players to believe that the trailer was indeed a genuine one, and could be officially revealed soon.
A Minecraft Movie is scheduled to release on April 4, 2025. It will be the first live-action movie based on the blocky game. This is not the only thing related to the game coming out soon. Netflix is working on an animated show based on Minecraft. The release date has not been revealed yet.
