Latest Minecraft Bedrock beta adds new reasons to attack Creaking

Mojang recently added several new features to the upcoming Pale Garden biome and Creaking mob in Minecraft Bedrock beta/preview version 1.21.50.25. One of the most interesting features added was the new resin clump item and resin blocks. These will be part of the Pale Garden biome and will have a special connection with the Creaking mob as well.

Here is how these new Minecraft blocks gave a new reason to encounter the Creaking mob and Pale Gardens at night.

Note: The information in the article is based on the latest Minecraft Bedrock beta 1.21.50.25. The features and mechanics might change as Mojang Studios develops them further.

Before the introduction of resin items and blocks, the Creaking was simply a creature that hunted players during nighttime when they were not looking at it directly. Even if players try to kill it by destroying its heart block in a pale oak tree, they do not receive anything significant from it.

In Minecraft Bedrock beta/preview 1.21.50.25, the new resin clumps and resin bricks have been added, and are directly related to encountering the new mob.

The Creaking is a mob that, when hit, will not take any damage and simply take energy from its heart block buried deep within one of the trees. Players will be able to see particles flowing between the mob and the heart block.

In the latest Bedrock beta/preview version, whenever the mob is hit, some form of resin will appear around the Creaking's heart, on the neighboring pale oak wood logs. The more players attack the three-eyed creature, the more resin clumps the Creaking heart will generate around itself. These clumps will look like small orange drops on pale oak wood logs.

The new resin items and blocks have now given a valid reason to attack the Creaking to get the desired amounts of resin.

Once the resin clumps are generated on pale oak trees, they can be obtained by simply breaking them with anything, including bare hands. Once obtained, these clumps can either be combined to make blocks of resin or can be smelted to create resin bricks.

Resin bricks can then be crafted into various resin brick blocks like stairs, walls, chiseled resin bricks, and more.
