List of pet achievements in Minecraft and how to get them
In Minecraft, players can interact with loads of mobs. While some of them are hostile and need to be killed, others are passive and even friendly to the player. If fed the correct item to some of these mobs, they can even be tamed and stay with the player most of the time. Since taming is a major part of the game, the developers have also added certain achievements connected to these tamed animals.
This article offers a list of all the pet/tamed animal achievements in Minecraft.
All Pet/tameable mob achievements in Minecraft
1) Lion Hunter
Lion Hunter is an achievement that is slightly tricky and time-consuming to obtain since players first need to find an ocelot and gain its trust. Ocelots are passive and shy mobs that are uncommonly found in jungle biomes. Since a jungle by itself is one of the more uncommon areas to find, it becomes an uncommon achievement to get.
First, players must find a jungle biome, then they have to explore it thoroughly to find an ocelot. Remember to keep lots of raw cod or salmon to feed the ocelot and gain its trust. Even though these mobs cannot be tamed, their trust can be gained so that they do not flee away upon approaching.
Once players gain the trust of an ocelot, the Lion Hunter achievement will be unlocked.
2) Saddle Up
When exploring the world of Minecraft, players will occasionally find groups of horses in various biomes. These can be tamed when a player sits on them without anything in their hands. It is worth mentioning that players might have to perform this action several times before a horse is tamed. Furthermore, wheat can be fed to these horses to decrease the time players need to sit in order to tame one.
Once a horse is tamed, players will unlock the Saddle Up achievement in the game. Thankfully, players need to get a saddle for this achievement since the challenge is to only tame a horse.

3) Where have you been?
For this achievement, players need to first tame a cat. Cats can be found in villages and can be sneakily fed raw cod or salmon to tame. Once tamed, cats will usually sleep with their owner on the bed during nighttime. When both the feline and the player wake up, there is a 70% chance that the former will drop a gift for the player. The gift can be anything like a rabbit's foot, rabbit's hide, string, rotten flesh, feathers, raw chicken, and even phantom membranes.
If a player picks this gift up from the ground, the Where have you been? Achievement will be unlocked.
4) Plethora of Cats
As mentioned above, cats can be found in villages and can be tamed by feeding them raw cod or salmon. For the Plethora of Cats achievement, players need to tame 20 cats. Finding these many can be tricky since a single village only has two or three of them.
Hence, this achievement is slightly time-consuming and can be done over a longer period of time.
5) Leader of the Pack
Wolves are one of the cutest and most popular mobs in Minecraft that can be tamed and kept as pets. They can be found roaming around in various biomes like forests, jungles, snowy slopes, etc. These can be tamed by feeding them bones. The number of bones that need to be fed is random based on each wolf.
For the Leader of the Pack achievement, players need to tame five wolves. It is worth noting that they do not need to be tamed in a single world. Players can tame five of them in multiple worlds as well. Essentially, this achievement is account-specific and not world-specific.
6) Birthday Song
Allays are friendly mobs that are occasionally found in Pillager Outposts and Woodland Mansions. They can help players pick up items from the ground if they are holding that exact item in their hands. Items can be given to them in order for them to follow the player. Furthermore, if a note block is present and played near them, they will throw picked-up items toward the note block itself.
For the Birthday Song achievement, players need to craft two cakes and give one to the Allay. Then, users can place a note block and throw the other cake on the ground. When the cake is picked up by the Allay and thrown towards a note block, the achievement will be complete.
