Minecraft announces new eyeblossom and resin in Pale Garden
Minecraft has announced two new features called eyeblossom and resin in Pale Garden, which will be added to the spooky new biome that arrives with the upcoming Winter Drop. These eerie items will be integrated within the existing framework of the spooky arena and introduce a host of ways in which they can be used in-game.
That said, here's everything you need to know about the eyeblossom and resin in Pale Garden.
What are the eyeblossom and resin in Pale Garden?
As mentioned, eyeblossom and resin in Pale Garden are two new items added to the biome ahead of its release, as part of the Winter Drop. This arena has quickly become a favorite among players due to its eeriness and interesting features.
Eyeblossom
Eyeblossoms are flowers that will be unique to the Pale Garden. They have a day/night cycle that affects their behavior and appearance in the game. During the daytime, the eyeblossom appears grey and closed but at nighttime, it blooms with an orange glow.
These ominous glowing flowers can be a great way to navigate the dense and lifeless biome dotted with row upon row of Pale Oak. Each blooming eyeblossom also encourages other ones nearby to bloom, like a hive creature. It is important to note that the light emitted by this flower is quite dim and cannot be relied upon as a light source. Also, it cannot prevent the creaking from hunting you.
Although poisonous to bees and a toxic addition to suspicious stew, eyeblossoms can be refined to craft dyes. These dyes are used for various purposes, including banners or selecting a new color for the bundles in the newly-released Bundles of Bravery drop.
Resin
Resin is a new block coming to the Pale Garden. It is spawned from Pale Oak trees and can only be collected when a creaking is damaged. Resin is found in clumps and can be crafted into other materials.
This block can be obtained only in the Pale Garden biome, similar to the eyeblossom, making it one of the most interesting features to be added to this eerie biome. Resin clumps can be crafted into a block of resin used to craft resin bricks or trim armor.
How to get the eyeblossom and resin in Pale Garden
You can get the eyeblossom and resin items exclusively in the Pale Garden biome. Both items will not spawn anywhere else in-game. The eerie biome can be found by exploring your world or by using Minecraft seeds to spawn near them.
Eyeblossoms can be harvested from the ground in Pale Garden. It is essential to notice that the behavior and type of the flower change with the day/night cycle. If you harvest this flower during the daytime, you will receive the closed eyeblossom. But if you collect it during the nighttime, you will receive a blooming flower.
As for resin, the only way to collect it is by aggravating or damaging a creaking in the Pale Garden. Once you attack a creaking, resin clumps grow around its Creaking Heart. You can locate the heart by following the orange trail that leads to it. Once you have reached the heart, mine the Pale Oak wood blocks around it to collect resin.
