Minecraft Bedrock Edition now has the hardest boss fight scenario
Minecraft Bedrock Edition recently received the highly-anticipated hardcore mode feature, which was previously exclusive to Java Edition. In the latest Bundles of Bravery update, Mojang decided to add it to Bedrock Edition, to further reduce the difference between the two editions. Since some boss mob health is still massively different in both editions, the new hardcore mode brings an extremely tough fight scenario to the game.
Here is how players can experience the hardest boss mob battle in Minecraft after the recent update.

With hardcore mode, Minecraft Bedrock Edition has the hardest boss battle scenario in the entire game
Wither boss mob is much stronger in Bedrock Edition
Wither is a boss mob that players can fight against in Minecraft. It is an extremely powerful creature that is equally deadly, if not more, than the final boss mob, Ender Dragon. The unique nature of the Wither is that players have to manually summon it since it does not spawn naturally in any realm.
While Wither has 150 hearts worth of health in Java Edition across all difficulty levels, its health in Bedrock Edition varies based on the game mode level. The main difference is that its health is 150 hearts on easy mode itself. This means that if players fight the Wither in hard mode, the creature's health jumps up to a whopping 300 hearts, making it one of the strongest mobs in the game across all editions.
New hardcore mode adds another layer of challenge
Though players have fought the Wither boss mob in Bedrock Edition on hard mode, they had the ability to respawn if they die and get back into the fight. However, this was the limit of the hardest boss mob battle in Bedrock Edition.
With the new hardcore mode, the difficulty level of this particular boss battle has massively increased. Not only will players fight the strongest Wither mob variant in the entire game, but they will be doing so without the ability to recover if killed.
The combination of Bedrock Edition's strongest Wither variant in hardcore mode is the hardest boss battle scenario in Minecraft.
How to activate hardcore mode in Minecraft Bedrock Edition
- First, players need to update their game through whichever device store app they installed it from.
- Then, open the game and head to the menu to create a new world.
- In general settings, they will find a toggle for hardcore mode — activate it.
- After that, a red border will appear around the preview picture of the world, with the hardcore heart symbol turning red, further warning players of how difficult the game could be in this mode.
