Minecraft Creaking and Pale Garden is now available in Bedrock beta and preview
Mojang finally released the Minecraft Bedrock beta and preview which allows Bedrock edition players to experience the features of Pale Garden. This allows them to check out the eerie overworld biome before its release as part of the upcoming winter drop.
This preview also made a host of changes and added features such as modifications to the Pale Garden and the behavior of the creaking mob. It also made significant changes to gameplay and the behavior of certain blocks.
Minecraft Bedrock Preview 1.21.50.20 gets some major changes
The Bedrock Preview 1.21.50.20 introduced a host of changes with a majority of those centered around the upcoming Pale Garden winter drop. Major changes were implemented that improved the gameplay and made significant changes to the behavior of some features in the new biome.
One of the most important changes was made to the movement and behavior of the creaking mob. As part of the update, an activated creaking will not move if a player is facing it. Additionally, the creaking is invulnerable to damage, and the only way players can eliminate it is by destroying its creaking heart. It is also not affected by the light cycle and instead follows the day/night cycle for spawn and despawn.
The creaking heart has been updated too and now it gets activated during the night and inactive during the daytime. If a player is damaged by a creaking, the creaking heart connected to that mob will leave a trail that the players can follow to eliminate it. The creaking heart also received sound effects which add to the ambiance of the arena.
Speaking of ambiance in the Pale Garden, the Bedrock Preview 1.21.50.20 made noteworthy changes to the environment and the atmosphere of the new overworld biome. The Pale Hanging moss received new atmospheric sounds which will not add to the eeriness of the biome based on the dark forest.
The update also introduces a host of new items as part of the Pale oak wood set. It added new items like doors, fences, planks, stairs, and more based on the popular shade of the new wood block. Additionally, many existing blocks like bamboo and dragon eggs received changes to their behavior and interaction.
