Minecraft Experience cape announced: All you need to know
Minecraft is going through a roll with multiple different additions. The trailer for the movie was recently released and while it failed to impress the community, the game’s popularity was instantly boosted. Minecraft Live is just around the corner and now Mojang Studios has announced a special cape to commemorate the first Minecraft Experience event.
In this article, we will discuss in detail everything about the Minecraft Experience cape, the event it’s a part of, and most importantly, what makes this cape rare.
How to get the Minecraft Experience cape
Capes have always been rare in the sandbox game. They cannot be crafted in the game and the only way of obtaining them is by participating in the special event. The same is true for the MC Experience cape. You can only get the in-game cape by taking part in the immersive experience.
For context, the MC Experience is an immersive experience that anyone can participate in. The first event will be held on October 18 this year in Dallas, Texas. You must get the tickets which will also give you the in-game reward of the special cape. The price for the tickets on weekdays is $32, while weekends will set you back $42.
As for the event, it will be a series of interactive activities that give players different quests such as saving a villager. The highlight is the world of Minecraft, which you can explore. It would feel much like walking into the in-game world and certainly a special experience for any fan.
The event will also feature the “Orb of Experience” which allows you to change the tool. You can switch from pickaxe, sword, or even to build mode. Something like this was also seen in the movie trailer.
Why is this cape so rare?
The rarity of a cape is decided based on how many people can get it. All capes are special but this one is extremely rare as you must physically go to Dallas, participate in the event, and then get it. This is unlike an online event where you can log in and claim the item. The region-locked requirement of the cape is what makes it so rare.
