Minecraft fans share interesting ways to make resin more useful
Minecraft is set to receive the resin block with the upcoming Winter Drop update. This new item can be used to build structures, create the Creaking Heart, and craft unique armor trims. However, many players hope it will have more than just these three uses.
A Redditor named u/-PepeArown- recently shared an image of resin brick blocks on the Minecraft subreddit, asking the community about additional uses that this item could have beyond construction and trimming.
For those unaware, the resin block was introduced in the game as an experimental feature alongside the eyeblossom flower. Players can obtain this item by breaking the Creaking Heart found within the Pale Garden biome.
In response to the post, u/RedstoneEnjoyer suggested that since resin is used as glue in real life, Mojang Studios could incorporate this property into the game. This would allow resin blocks to bind other blocks together.
u/Fragrant_Exit5500 agreed, adding that the resin block should be usable on any surface to make it sticky.
u/Hero-Dad said their kids want more potion options in the title and suggested that Mojang could create a new one using resin.
u/bjaydubya then proposed a potion that allows players to climb vertically without ladders or scaffolding, adding a new ability to the game.
u/greekgeek741 made a pun, suggesting the potion could be named the "Potion of Resinstance."
u/Randinator9 proposed using resin blocks for waxing wood and log blocks to to give them a protective layer against fire. However, u/J_train13 pointed out that wax might be better suited for that purpose.
u/Jesse_Supertramp noted that resin burns well and can be used to make torches in real life, making it a poor choice for fire protection in the game.
New content coming to Minecraft with Winter Drop update
The Minecraft Winter Drop update will bring a host of new content to the game. Mojang is introducing a new overworld biome called the Pale Garden.
Players will also encounter a hostile mob known as the Creaking, which attacks when not directly looked at, the opposite of the enderman's behavior. The Creaking can only be defeated by destroying the Creaking Heart, hidden among the Pale Oak trees.
Additionally, the biome will feature the eyeblossom flower and the resin block.
