Minecraft fans want Mojang to enable armor stand hands in Java Edition
Minecraft comes in two versions, Bedrock and Java Edition. While on the surface they are almost identical, some tiny differences don't seem too different. For example, the look of the armor stand. In the Java Edition, the armor stand lacks the arms that are present in the Bedrock Edition.
A Minecraft player and Reddit user u/Beneficial-Ad-5492 shared an image of the armor stand of the Bedrock Edition and asked the community why Mojang Studios are not adding arms to the armor stand in the Java Edition. When it comes to armor stands, the one with arms seems better and more practical.
Reacting to the post, user u/Altareos said that the developers at Mojang Studios can do it by just enabling the arms on placement as they are already present in the game.
Another user named u/AFlyinDeer said that following the outrage in the post, Mojang Studios will probably come up with a 1.24 update, which ill tweak the stand, pointing out the minor updates by the studio.
User u/winauer said that the developers don’t have to do anything because the armor in the Java Edition does have arms. They are disabled by default and players can enable it using a simple data pack. The original poster replied asking why the developers are not adding a simple game rule that allows players to enable it.
User u/Howzieky replied to them saying that players can provide feedback to the developers on their official Discord server. They also noted many features have been added quickly once they were requested. This does not mean it will be added to the game, but it can get noticed by the developers if the request is popular enough.
User u/Blue_M4ge said that it is unbelievable how Mojang Studios wants to remove the disparities between the two versions of the game and yet cannot add features that have been exclusive to each version for years. They added that since new developers will be releasing smaller updates frequently, it would be a perfect way of adding all these small features and making both versions similar.
Minecraft Java and Bedrock differences
The Bedrock Edition was developed to run on lower-end devices such as smartphones and consoles. The Java Edition was for the more powerful and capable PC. However, consoles and smartphones are getting as powerful as PCs over the years, and now, they can handle demanding games. Players have been asking the developers to remove the differences between the two features.
Recently, another player made a post on the subreddit of the game, showing how Java Edition players can use the new Pale Oak tree to give the appearance of a snowy tree. This baffled many players as they did not know only the Bedrock Edition had the snowy tree feature. A definitive edition of Minecraft is something fans are looking forward to.
