5 Minecraft features due for an update
Even after 16 years, Mojang continues to update Minecraft, adding all kinds of new features along with bringing major changes to existing features. Despite them continuing to update the game, many players have discussed that a few features still need changes and updates in the future.
Here is a list of some features Mojang should update in Minecraft.

List of 5 Minecraft features that need an update
1) End dimension

End dimension is arguably the biggest feature in the list that needs a major update. Ever since Mojang updated the Nether in 2020 and started focusing on the Overworld after that, the community has been talking about when they will update the desolate third dimension.
For several years now, End has not received any new terrain generation, structure, or biome updates. Hence, this is one of the main features of the game that needs an overhaul.
2) Ancient City Warden statue

Ancient City is one of the most fascinating structures in Minecraft. It was added with the 1.20 Wild Update and only generates in the Deep Dark biome. Since the entire structure is plagued with sculk blocks and has a mysterious Warden statue with a hole in the middle, many players speculated that it could be a portal to a brand new dimension.
Though Mojang has not yet added or commented on a new sculk-themed dimension, they definitely should update the Ancient City's center and turn it into a working portal, which opens up to a new dimension.
3) Torchflower and pitcher plants

Sniffer was a mob vote winner and was added to the game with the 1.20 Wild update. This mob does not spawn naturally in the world. Players have to find their egg in Ocean Ruins in Warm Oceans, grow it, and then use the mob to find seeds of rare torchflower and pitcher plants.
However, these rare plants have no particular use apart from looking unique. They are simply decorative plants. Hence, Mojang should consider adding more features to them. They can be magical plants that offer new kinds of status effects when eaten or brewed into potions.
4) Enderman

Ever since Minecraft was released, Enderman has been the most mysterious creature in the game. The mob is present in all three dimensions, can pick up blocks, and has a mysterious voice that might sound like English at times.
Over the course of 16 years, many players have speculated the origin story of the Enderman, but Mojang has never revealed the true story and intention of adding the mob to the game.
Hence, the developers can now add new features to Enderman or related to the mob to unfold its lore.
5) Name tag

The name tag is a simple but rare item to find in Minecraft. It allows players to name any mob in the game. It can be found by fishing for loot, looting certain structures, or trading with a master-level librarian.
Since Mojang recently made saddles craftable in the Chase the Skies game drop, an argument can be made that name tags should also be updated and made craftable.
