Minecraft launcher receives a new look ahead of Bundles of Bravery drop release
Mojang Studios recently shared a new pre-release snapshot for Minecraft 1.21.2 Bundles of Bravery drop. Along with that, they have also updated their official launcher with a few minor visual and technical fixes. The launcher that helps players open both Java and Bedrock Edition will now have a new opening screen, followed by a more noticeable left panel.
Here is everything to know about the changes made to Minecraft Launcher.
Minecraft launcher changes made ahead of the Bundles of Bravery drop
New opening screen
Before the update, when players used to open the game's launcher, it took them to a loading screen where an armadillo was running through the savanna biome. Though that loading animation is still present in the current version of the launcher, there is another static picture that precedes the armadillo loading screen.
Now, if gamers open the launcher, they will first see a massive creeper logo in the launcher with Minecraft written on top. In the bottom right corner, the launcher will show that it is loading several things before going to the regular loading screen where the armadillo is running.
Since the armadillo loading screen arrived during the 1.20.5 Armored Paws drop, there is a chance that it could also change based on the new Bundles of Bravery update.
More noticeable buttons on the Minecraft Launcher
The other minor change that Mojang brought to the Minecraft launcher was an overhaul of the left-side panel. Previously, the left panel did not have any distinction between the different games that Mojang Studios makes. Now, they have created separate buttons for each game so players can easily distinguish which game is selected in the launcher. The buttons themselves have become slightly smaller in size.
The home button has also changed in design and now only has an outline.
Lastly, the home page (the first button on the left panel) also received a minor visual change. The top area, where all the recent worlds and drop-down menus for Java Edition versions are located, has been overhauled with more noticeable buttons.
