How to make resin bricks in Minecraft
A new material, resin brick, is coming to Minecraft in the Winter Drop update. After the Bundles of Bravery drop, Mojang has scheduled the Winter Drop for both Java and Bedrock Editions. Unlike Bundles of Bravery, which added Hardcore mode to Bedrock Edition and bundles, the Winter Drop introduces exciting features, from a new mob called the Creaking to many wonderful blocks.
One of the new features is an item called resin bricks. In this guide, you will learn the recipe for making resin bricks in Minecraft and how to use them to create a variety of building blocks.
Minecraft resin bricks recipe
To make resin bricks, you must smelt resin clumps in a furnace. Resin clumps are a new item in the Winter Drop update. You can obtain them by attacking a naturally spawned Creaking mob, which causes the nearby Creaking Heart to generate resin clumps on its surrounding pale oak wood blocks. You can then punch the block with resin clumps to collect the item.
After obtaining resin clumps, place them in a furnace with fuel to start the smelting process. In just a few seconds, your resin bricks will be ready.
Where to find resin bricks in Minecraft
In addition to crafting, you can find resin bricks in woodland mansions. Chests in woodland mansions have a 44.5% chance of containing one or two resin bricks, though this chance is only 16.1% in Bedrock Edition.
Since woodland mansions are some of the rarest structures, relying on them for resin bricks may not be ideal. However, if you do come across one, it’s worth exploring, as these mansions may also contain valuable items like Totems of Undying, vex armor trims, music discs, and more.
