The Minecraft Simply Swords mod can be installed using any mod loader with Fabric or Forge. For this guide, we will use the popular Curseforge repository and its mod loader, with access to an array of customization options for all versions of Minecraft.

Here's how you can download and install the Simply Swords mod, one of the best weapon mods in Minecraft:

1. Head over to Curseforge and download the launcher.
2. Once downloaded and logged in, search for the Minecraft Simply Swords mod by sweenuss. Alternatively, you can follow this link to get to the download page.
3. If you wish to manually install the mod, click on the black Download button and place the ZIP file in the mods folder. However, it is recommended to use the Curseforge loader if you aren't familiar with mod installations or do not have Fabric or Forge installed.
4. Click the orange Install button, which will open up the downloaded Curseforge app.
5. Once the app opens, you will be prompted to create a new instance. The Minecraft Simply Swords mod adds a host of unique swords and blade-based weapons to your game. While some of these weapons can be crafted from the crafting bench, others need to be found by exploring the world or defeating powerful mobs like the ender dragon.

Here are all the new weapons as part of the mod:

• Sai
• Cutlass
• Rapier
• Twinblade
• Katana
• Claymore
• Warglaive
• Greathammer
• Greataxe
• Spear
• Glaive
• Chakram
• Scythe

All of these weapons in the Minecraft Simply Swords mod have different rarities, just like regular weapons. Each of them requires appropriate levels of materials to craft. These weapons range from Iron to Netherite and have a cascading bracket of power and damage that increases with each level of material.

The Minecraft Simply Swords mod also includes two new tiers of weapons — runic and unique. These are special-grade enchanted weapons that are extremely powerful and contain unique buffs and status effects.

Runic weapons are crafted by etching runes onto existing netherite weapons. These enchanted weapons possess runic powers that enhance their combat abilities and make them really powerful.

Unique weapons are some of the most powerful combat devices added as part of the mod. They cannot be crafted and can be rarely found in chests. The only guaranteed way to obtain these powerful weapons is by defeating the Wither & Ender Dragon. Although these weapons cannot be crafted, some of them can be upgraded via crafting.

Additionally, these weapons have gem sockets that can be embedded with unique gems to give them powers and imbue additional abilities to buff the weapons. These gems can be crafted through a smithing table by using the runic tablet and empowered remnants in a combination of either Netherite Ingot or Crying Obsidian.
