New Minecraft Bedrock beta version adds a creepy yet harmless decorative block
In the latest Minecraft Bedrock beta/preview version 1.21.50.25, Mojang added brand new features to the upcoming Pale Gardens. One of the most interesting features is the new eyeblossom flowers. Eyeblossom flowers in Minecraft Bedrock beta: What are they and how to use them
What are Eyeblossom flowers?
Eyeblossom flowers are brand-new flower types that are generated in the Pale Gardens in Minecraft. These will soon be officially added to the game when Mojang releases the Winter drop later this year.
These flowers have a special mechanic based on the day/night cycle of the Overworld. During the daytime, they will remain closed and simply look like gray bulbs scattered around the new biome. As night falls, they will gradually start to bloom and will emit a bright orange light. The petals of the flower will look eerily close to Creaking's eyes; hence, they are named eyeblossoms.
Once an eyeblossom opens, it will then encourage other closed flowers to open as well. They have some kind of connection with each other and act based on their surroundings as well.
Unlike the creaking mob, however, these flowers are completely harmless to players and are only dangerous to bees, which can be poisoned by them.
How to obtain and use eyeblossoms
If players want to obtain the eyeblossom, simply break them with bare hands. However, be careful since the flower has an item state. If they are picked up when they are closed, they will be called a closed eyeblossom as an item, and vice versa.
Once these flowers are obtained, they can either be used to create dyes or can be used as a decorative block in a base. Closed eyeblossoms give gray dye while open ones give orange dye when placed on a crafting table.
As a decorative block, they can be an excellent choice for a spooky setting in a base, where they will open and look like Creaking's eyes in the dark. Remember that though they glow in the dark, they do not emit enough light to spawn-proof an area. Hence, they are purely for decorative purposes.
In conclusion, it is worth noting that the new eyeblossom is still in the development phase since it has recently been released with Minecraft Bedrock beta/preview version 1.21.50.25. Hence, it could be changed before its official release.
