New Minecraft flower is toxic to an adorable mob
Minecraft has countless items populating the blocky world, and Mojang Studios is always working on adding new items to make the world even more immersive. Recently, the developers announced the addition of a new flower called eyeblossoms in the Pale Garden biome. It’s an interesting item that makes the new biome worth exploring. However, the flower has one downside.
Eyeblossoms have many uses, which include making the colorless and desaturated Pale Garden biome beautiful. But the flowers are a threat to the adorable bee mob in Minecraft. Here's everything about the eyeblossom flowers and why you should avoid making bee farms near them.
Eyeblossom in Minecraft is toxic to bees
Eyeblossoms are named so because of their appearance. The new flower has two phases or variants: open and closed. The flower will remain closed during the day; you cannot see its orange color in this phase. At night, the flower opens up and gives off a glowing orange eye appearance. It is very similar to how the Creaking mob’s eyes look.
In the official blog post, Mojang Studios mentioned that this flower is toxic to bees. While you can take the flower and plant it near your base in any other biome, make sure to keep it away from bees. If you have a bee farm, avoid putting the eyeblossom flower near it at all costs.
When bees interact with the eyeblossom flower in Minecraft, they get poisoned and eventually die. Apart from poisoning bees, eyeblossoms can be used to make dyes. When the closed flower is used, it yields gray dye. When the open flower is used, you get orange dye.
You can also use this flower to make suspicious stews that include effects such as Blindness and Nausea. The developers also added another new item called resin and it was inspired by the toxic resin released in the April Fool’s update a few months back. Resin clumps can be obtained when you destroy the Creaking Heart that is also found in the Pale Garden biome.
You can see how the developers are working to make the upcoming biome more interesting and worth exploring. Resin clumps can be put inside a furnace to make resin bricks, which can then be used to make walls, slabs, stairs, etc, and for construction purposes.
They have a glowing orange appearance to them and look very similar to the bricks in the Super Mario Bros game. Since they are being worked on, you can expect these features to be tweaked or changed in the future.
