Major Minecraft Live leaks surface online just one day before the live show
Minecraft Live is almost here and fans are hyped up for the event, as it is always an exciting time when the game gets new updates. Speculations are running wild, with players expecting to see announcements for a new mob and a biome.
Just a day prior to the live-stream, Mojang Studios accidentally leaked some crucial information about the upcoming content. The official website of Minecraft Live had initially mentioned a pale new garden biome along with the Creaking, a hostile mob.
Here’s everything to know about the leaks involving the new mob and biome and what fans can expect from the upcoming event.
Minecraft Live leaks reveal upcoming biome and mob
Almost confirming the new mob and the biome, a freshly leaked section from the live-stream shows some scenes of the upcoming event. The images show the Creaking mob, the pale garden, and something called the “Creaking Heart.”
As per the leaked description, the Creaking will be a hostile mob that looks like a variant of the Warden. If the speculations are true, this new mob will add an interesting gameplay mechanic. To prevent the Creaking from attacking players, they need to keep looking at it. Breaking eye contact will make it come closer to the players.
The pale garden will most likely be a new biome located in the overworld. Mojang Studios recently posted an image on their Instagram page teasing this new biome, featuring blocks that have a desaturated look, similar to a diorite or gravel block.
Unfortunately, there have been no leaks about the Creaking Heart item. It is an item that players will get only after defeating the Creaking mob. The use of this item will be revealed in the upcoming event. All that remains to be seen is whether the Creaking will be as tough an opponent as the Warden.
Scheduled for September 28, 2024, Minecraft Live will be live-streamed across Mojang Studios’ official social media channels. However, keep in mind that this event will be different from the previous ones as the developers have changed the update structure.
Instead of one major update every year, there will be smaller but more frequent updates. Additionally, with the Mob Vote being retired, Minecraft Live will be held twice a year instead. This opens up a lot of avenues for developers, who will now be able to come up with new mobs without needing to eliminate others.
For example, Mob Vote allowed for the addition of just one mob out of three, and the other two were shelved indefinitely. Small and more frequent updates also mean Minecraft will stay fresh and interesting.
