Minecraft snapshot 24w45 brings changes to mob behavior and items
The Minecraft snapshot 24w45 brought a host of changes to existing gameplay mechanics and the behavior of certain mobs in-game. Notably, modifications have been introduced to how mobs decide to replace their equipped items with items on the ground, as well as their preferred weapons.
1) Mob Item Swap
If the item belongs in an armor slot, it is replaced if the new item has a higher base armor value or base armor toughness value. It will also be replaced if the new item has more enchantments, is less damaged, or even if it has a custom name unlike the old one.
As for any main-hand-slot item, it is replaced if the new item is a preferred weapon compared to the former, or has a higher base damage value. The swap will also occur if the new item has more enchantments, is less damaged, or has a custom name unlike the old one.

2) Preferred weapons for mobs
The snapshot also introduced a host of preferences for mobs when it comes to weapons. Skeleton variants will prefer bows while piglins and pillagers will choose crossbows. On the other hand, the drowned mob will prefer tridents, which are more suited to their aqueous nature.
Pale Garden features received some changes in Minecraft snapshot 24w45
Some features of the Pale Garden biome have received some modifications and adjustments. This comes right after things like eyeblossoms and resin were added in the Minecraft snapshot 24w44a.
As part of the update, bees no longer interact with closed eyeblossoms and they do not get poisoned when they touch the flower during the day. Additionally, they will not be tempted by it during the daytime. As for the creaking, it will not move if a survival or adventure player is looking at it. The mob will also have full knockback resistance in that state.
