Minecraft announces new Twitch and TikTok drop rewards
Minecraft fans are getting ready for Minecraft Live, where Mojang Studios will be announcing all the major updates they have planned for the game. If the leaks are to be believed, fans will be getting a new biome called the “pale garden”, alongside a new hostile mob called the “Creaking”. With these hints, it seems that the theme of the next update is horror.
Staying true to the theme, Mojang Studios took to the game’s official X handle to announce two new exclusive drops for Twitch users. Fans who watch the game's content creators on the popular live-streaming website can get a new “Terrified” emote and “Mask of the Witness” during the event.
Those who have a TikTok account can also get an exclusive drop, called the “Bog Dweller Mask.” Here’s everything about the newest drops.
How to get the Minecraft Live rewards
The process of getting rewards is quite easy. The “Terrified” emote can be obtained by subscribing to or gifting a Minecraft live streamer on Twitch. “Mask of the Witness” will be rewarded after watching more than 10 minutes of MC Live on Twitch. Note that these rewards can only be claimed between September 28 and October 5, 2024.
Similarly, the TikTok reward can be obtained by watching the game's streams on the platform for three minutes or more. The channel must have enabled "Game Rewards" as well. The time window to claim this reward is from September 28 to October 28, 2024.
Recently, some leaked photos from the pre-recorded Minecraft Live event revealed what the new content would look like. The pale new garden has an eerie, lifeless look to it. The Creaking looks like a variant of the Warden with its tall structure and terrifying three eyes. With these additions, it seems that Mojang Studios is trying to drive up the horror factor of the game.
The new TikTok and Twitch drops also seem to be in line with this horror theme. It’s worth noting that even if the leaks are true, the Creaking and the Pale Garden might not be all that’s coming to the game. Fans will, however, get to know everything Mojang Studios has planned in just a few hours, as the global timings for the event have been released.
