5 things you probably missed in A Minecraft Movie trailer

The trailer for A Minecraft Movie was recently released, and it has managed to change the air around the upcoming film. It featured a lot of things from the blocky game along with some new items added by the movie makers. However, the devil is in the details, which is the case for the trailer. There were many things that you might have missed.

This article will feature the five things you probably did not see or notice in the trailer for the upcoming Minecraft movie.

5 things you probably missed in A Minecraft Movie trailer

1) Large cubicle flowers

In most of the scenes that show the blocky world of Minecraft, you can notice the trees, the ground, and some mobs as well. But did you notice how the flowers look in this world? The yellow and purple flowers are large cubes that we have not seen in the game. This was likely added to make the world more vibrant.

2) Piles of diamonds

Diamonds are some of the most important resources in the game. These blue crystals can be found on deeper levels, and having a chest full of them is a dream of many Minecraft players. But you might feel surprised if you missed some large piles of diamonds shown in the trailer just for a split second.

The scene features Steve (played by Jack Black) showing around different parts of the blocky world. He opens a piston-powered door that shows a few large piles of shining blue diamonds. That much diamond can get you armor, tools, weapons, and more for an entire playthrough.

3) The wandering trader

As the cast members walk around with Steve and explore the world of Minecraft, they reach a village filled with villagers. The town square has many shops, and the residents are shown moving around in the frame. While you can see many long-nosed villagers, one specific shot shows the wandering trader.

You can see this merchant's familiar blue robe as it walks towards one side with another villager. It would be interesting to see what the makers of the movie do with this mob. The wandering trader can get annoying in the game, especially when it has nothing special to sell. But in the film, this mob can play an important part by helping Steve in difficult situations.

4) The shield

If you are a keen observer, you might have noticed that during the last scenes of the trailer, Steve can be seen carrying a large shield. This item's design appears to be exactly like the one found in the game — even its size is accurate.

A shield is one of the most important items in Minecraft. It provides excellent defense abilities, and fighting mobs such as ghasts, skeletons, etc requires you to carry one. Given that we have seen both of these mobs in the trailer, it makes sense for Steve and other characters to have it.

5) A gun-like device

In the same scene where the shield can be seen, you can notice that Henry (played by Sebastian Hansen) is carrying a weapon-like item that looks very much like a gun. There are no guns in Minecraft, and it seems like the makers of the movie will be adding some new items to the plot.

This is not a surprise as the teaser showed the hammer used to craft items using the crafting table. However, you do not need any additional items to craft something in the game. Perhaps they thought of making the crafting process more authentic and decided to add it.
