"This is insanely well made!": Fan-made Minecraft RTS game leaves community amazed

Minecraft has always seen players come up with unique ideas and concepts based on and around the game. This was carried on by one player, who could not wait for the next update, taking matters into their own hands. They created a Minecraft RTS game that faithfully recreates popular themes from the game as well as provides a unique way to enjoy the universe.

Reddit user u/Bruhvery built their very own Minecraft RTS game on Unity and has left the community stunned. They posted a video of the custom RTS depicting game mechanics and the unique art style made it look stunning:

u/Expensive-Apricot-25 wondered if the OP would ever release this as a standalone game for other fans to enjoy. Sadly, they stated that this was a personal project and not officially licensed.

u/BlearyBox and the OP got into a witty banter over the name of this custom RTS, referring to its artistic similarity and playstyle to Clash of Clans, a massively popular multiplayer strategy game.

u/Aggravating_Baker_91 and u/Toolbelt_Barber encouraged the OP, suggesting that they pitch this idea to the publishers and that they would love this. Mojang is known to greatly value player feedback, as is evident from the community voting system of their new Minecraft Game Drops.

Some users joked that this RTS looked better than Legends while others took a dig at Mojang, stating this was what the game mode should have been. Others felt that the OP's custom game felt better than their experience of Legends and they would love to get their hands on this game.

Most players expressed their surprise and appreciation for the RTS game made by u/Bruhvery. The game has inspired tons of builds, ranging from some of the best Minecraft house ideas to entire game modes based on the popular game.

Mods have been an integral part of the game's community, so it might come as no surprise if they find a way to integrate new game modes or styles within the existing framework.

Minecraft Legends will receive no future updates: Are fan-made games the RTS alternative?

Minecraft Legends is a popular real-time action strategy game or RTS which was released in 2023. Since its inception, the action-packed game has received mixed reviews. Some players lauded the unique gameplay while others complained over the repetitive nature of gameplay.

Unfortunately, Mojang decided to scrap support for Legends, and Lost Legends: Snow vs. Snouts is the last update the popular RTS received. With a clear demand for the game mode, is it now up to fans like u/Bruhvery to come up with custom games to satisfy that itch?

Minecraft has a global community with millions of active players with brilliant ideas that could expand the already-vast universe. If Mojang decides to allow the integration of custom games within the existing framework (similar to UEFN in Fortnite), players could be in for a treat as the gaming community is as ingenious as it gets.
