Two Minecraft villager types most players probably don't know about

Villagers are passive mobs in Minecraft that spawn in villages generating in various biomes. These human-like creatures dwell in these settlements and have a set routine that they follow. Based on the biome a village generates, these mobs have different attires to suit the area. While most players might know about regular villagers spawning in different locations, there are two variants that are extremely rare.

Here is everything about the jungle and swamp villagers, which most new players might not know about.

Note: This article only aims to tell about the two rare villagers to those who might be unaware. There might be players, even new ones, who must have known about them.

Swamp and jungle villagers in Minecraft: Everything to know about the two rarest villager types

Why are swamp and jungle villagers rare?

First, players must understand that though villages only generate in biomes like plains, deserts, savanna, snowy plains, and taigas, there are two extra types of villagers that can spawn in jungles and swamps. However, since villagers can only spawn in villages, jungle and swamp villager variants never naturally spawn in a regular survival world.

This is the reason they are extremely rare and almost impossible to spawn naturally.

How can jungle and swamp villagers spawn in Minecraft?

The only way jungle and swamp villagers can naturally spawn is when a village from a regular biome blends into either a jungle or swamp biome. This way, the portion of the village that spills over the jungle or swamp biome automatically generates the two rare villagers.

The only catch is that finding such a village is almost impossible in survival mode even in various village seeds. Even in a world with cheats enabled, there is no specific command to locate the exact village that is spilling over one of those two biomes.

The second tried-and-tested method to spawn jungle and swamp villagers is to bring two villagers from any village into one of the two biomes and breed them. The offspring they will give will have the jungle or swamp attire since it was conceived in that respective biome.

The third and final way to find a jungle or swamp villager is if players find a zombie villager that spawned in one of those two biomes. This will make the hostile mob a jungle or swamp villager once it is cured.

How are jungle and swamp villagers different from other villagers?

The swamp villagers wear purple tops with green pants and have a distinct lily pad on top of their heads. Meanwhile, jungle villagers wear hides of ocelots and look more primitive compared to other variants.

Apart from their appearance, these villagers are identical to all other variants and will take up any job and give the same kind of trades. Though Mojang was planning to rebalance the trading system and give each villager variant a different trading list, it has not yet been officially released in the game. Hence, they can still be considered equal in terms of features.
