Weird Minecraft bug launches player thousands of blocks in the air

Minecraft bugs are something that seems to be always present no matter how many updates Mojang Studios rolls out. While the aim is to make the game as polished as possible, new features bring new bugs. Thankfully, most of these bugs are not game-breaking or even create big issues for the players. It seems that a keen-eyed player has found a very specific bug associated with the minecart.

A Minecraft player and Reddit user named pyrku_pyrku shared a small video clip on the subreddit of the game showing how a minecart is launched at an incredible height when it is placed on an inclining powered rail track and stopped with a cobweb, it gets launched above. This could be a bug that came with the latest snapshot that buffed the minecarts and made it faster.

I didn't know they added rocket engines to minecraft...

Reacting to this glitch, user u/SwannSwanchez said that they were hoping the minecart would be launched ahead instead of up. This would have allowed for traveling far distances. User u/ekiller64 pointed out they can travel far distances after getting launched above and then using the elytra.

Another user named u/CBT7commander said they love this snapshot, and they want Mojang Studios to make this a feature instead of removing the bug. User u/Koshkatoshka mentioned that Mojang Studios has already added a feature that allows players to increase the speed of the minecart, and soon, it will be added to the game as a game rule option.

Minecraft is making old features better

Mojang Studios works hard to make the game better with the addition of new features and items. However, they should also be working on making the already present features better. This includes improving the biomes, making items more useful, etc. A great example is the fletching table that barely has any use despite having great potential.

It seems that the developers are moving in the right direction with improving the minecart. Adding the game rule that allows players to increase the speed of minecarts is wonderful. For years, minecarts have been almost useless as they cannot be used for traveling due to their slow speed.

With the ability to increase the speed up to 1,000 blocks per second, the minecarts become a great option to travel long distances. Making the long track network also makes sense now. Apart from these changes, Mojang Studios is finally adding the bundles and Hardcore mode to the Minecraft Bedrock Edition after years of waiting.
