Bundles in Minecraft essentially allow you to store a mixed stack of up to 64 items but take up only one inventory slot. This makes it one of the most efficient ways to store resources in-game. Bundles can be used to store various resources in-game while taking up only a single slot.

An interesting fact about bundles is that these items can be nested — you can store bundles within a bundle and then place the filled item within another bundle. This essentially allows you to create a vast storage solution in-game and is especially useful if you're looking to farm resin in Minecraft.

Currently, bundles offer players 16 color variants apart from the standard color that can be obtained by combining this item with a host of dyes in-game. Here are all the available color options:

  • White
  • Light Gray
  • Black
  • Brown
  • Red
  • Light Blue
  • Yellow
  • Orange
  • Green
  • Lime
  • Pink
  • Cyan
  • Purple
  • Blue
  • Magenta
  • Gray

The ability to dye these items also makes it easier to color-code certain bundles and make large resource caches if you wish to. These items can be crafted easily using string and leather, making them a valuable addition to your adventure inventory. You can take this item along with you the next time you're out farming eyeblossom in the Pale Garden.

How to use bundles in Minecraft

Bundles are rather easy to use. You can either pick up the bundle in the inventory and click on every item you wish to put in it or select the item you wish to place and click on the bundle.

As for placing items, there are a few differences based on the maximum stack. If an item has a maximum stack of 64, it takes up one bundle slot, while items like eggs that stack up to 16 will take up four slots. Additionally, weapons, tools, and even bowls will take up all of the inventory slots in the bundle.

Bundles in Minecraft have a very intuitive user interface, making it easy to manage and track your resources. You can use your scroll/right stick/tap to view the items in the bundle as well as select the one you wish to remove from it.

When used outside the inventory, interacting with a bundle will drop all items stored in a last-in-first-out method. Additionally, if you destroy a bundle, its contents are dropped as items, similar to a shulker box.

As mentioned, you can nest bundles within each to create a larger storage solution. However, note that you if place a filled bundle inside another, it will take up the exact amount of space you filled in the previous bundle. It is recommended to place empty bundles inside each other and place the filled items in your inventory to create a more effective farming and harvesting system.
