No single special ingredient did all the work of keeping Minecraft relevant for this long. The game is a mix of multiple great features that have led it to this feat. These features can be seen in the gameplay, community, and support of Mojang’s popular title.

Starting with the gameplay, Minecraft is all about doing whatever you feel like doing. The blocky world offers you unlimited possibilities. If you want to make a large farm and keep some animals, you can do it. If you're going to explore all the different biomes and fight dangerous enemies, you can also do it. And if you want to dig deep, explore other dimensions, or get rare minerals, you can do that too.

Most of the games today are more focused. This also means they are limited. You can only do what the developers want you to do. But the blocky game offers you an almost endless world. There are no hard objectives you need to follow to proceed. You can do whatever you want. No other game offers you that.

Another great aspect of the gameplay is that it's easy. Sure Minecraft can get challenging sometimes, especially when fighting mobs such as the Wither or the Ender dragon. But those are optional. Younger players can play in easy mode. This is why new gamers find Minecraft so interesting.

This was the first aspect of the game’s popularity. The other aspect is how Mojang has kept the game fresh all these years. This has also led to the development of a community across different social media platforms.

Mojang Studios regularly releases updates for the game, adding new features and improving the present ones. The Bundles of Bravery update was released recently, adding bundles and Hardcore mode. The developers also announced the Winter Drop which will be adding a new biome, the Creaking mob, and many new items players can use.

These updates are the foundation of the game’s popularity. The constant addition of new features is what makes players go back to their game world. Without these updates, the game would have been barren and empty. Since Mojang Studios is always working on making Minecraft better, the game's future is secure. This is what makes new players buy it.

An ever-growing community is also a major factor behind the game’s popularity. Minecraft has a massive fan base across major social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Reddit. Major tournaments of the game such as the MC Championship pitch popular creators and are watched by millions of viewers.

Hence, the game's popularity stems from multiple reasons. From the gameplay to the community, Mojang's title has managed to stay ahead of the curve and it deserves it.
