Mojang Studios has collaborated with Ravensburger to release Minecraft Explorers. This is a card game that puts players into a diverse blocky overworld to find the treasure stacked in the chests. There are a lot of interesting mechanics in Minecraft Explorers and the game designers have retained familiar aspects from the original title while including new elements to give a unique spin to it.
Here’s everything you need to know about Minecraft Explorers and where you can get one.
Minecraft Explorers card game
The Explorers card game has been illustrated by Alexandria Land and designed by Matthew Dunstan, Daniel Greiner, and Stephanie Korupp. It features a set of 110 cards with different elements from the game including hostile mobs such as zombies, skeletons, witches, endermen, etc. 60 landscape cards feature various biomes and other activities.
Each player has to work on filling up the chest card. These come with some requirements and the goal of the game is to complete these requirements before other players. There is also a “Game Over” card that ends the game for the player who gets it.
The card game has been designed cleverly as it brilliantly uses many elements from Minecraft. There are hunger cards that are used when fighting mobs, spyglass cards can be used to reveal hidden landscape cards, and tool cards allow you to perfect some tasks at reduced prices. You can also put damaged tools into the chest when needed.
