5 Fights that could happen in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 126
The UFC came to Austin, Texas, United States for UFC Fight Night 126this past weekend. The event saw twelve fights, eight finishes, many new rising stars, and the comeback of Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.
The burning questions solely focus on the future bouts for the top competitors from the main card to the FS1 prelims. Keeping that in mind, here are five matches to make.
#5 Donald Cerrone vs Kevin Lee
Cerrone is coming off a big main event victory against the very tough Hawaiian Yancy Medeiros, stopping him in the first round via strikes. In the post-fight interview, Cerrone would announce he's moving make down to lightweight (155), where he went 15-4 in the UFC.
Lee is currently ranked seventh in the lightweight division and is coming off a title loss to Tony Ferguson last October for UFC 216. Before that loss, Lee was on a five-fight win streak and is 9-3 for the promotion.
This is an excellent return fight for the "Cowboy" as with a win, it will put him quickly at the top of the division. A good opportunity for Lee as well, who would have a chance to beat a former title challenger and legend in Cerrone.
