Belal Muhammad reunites with coach Khabib Nurmagomedov for intense training in preparation for eventual WW title fight

Belal Muhammad recently reunited with coach Khabib Nurmagomedov and got an intense training session in as he prepares for his eventual UFC welterweight title shot.

Muhammad took to Twitter to share an update and posted a series of photos and videos of his training session with Nurmagomedov, Cain Velasquez, and AKA coach Javier Mendez. The first photo he shared was with 'The Eagle' and included a caption that indicated the former lightweight champion was spending some time working with the fighters.

He wrote:

"Back in the office...You merely adopted the dark we were born in it"

'Remember The Name' then posted a video of his training, which showed him working on his footwork and cardio, and a caption that could be foreshadowing what's to come. He simply mentioned that he believes it's a matter of time before he becomes UFC welterweight champion, writing:

It remains to be seen whether Nurmagomedov will spend more time training Muhammad or cornering him when he challenges the winner of Leon Edwards vs. Colby Covington for the welterweight championship.

Belal Muhammad's manager calls for a title fight with Leon Edwards in Abu Dhabi

Belal Muhammad's manager Ali Abdelaziz believes the No.3 ranked welterweight made a strong case for why he deserves the next title shot after earning a unanimous decision win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 288.

The win extended 'Remember The Name's' unbeaten sreak to 10-straight fights, which includes wins over the likes of Burns, Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia, and Sean Brady. Abdelaziz took to Twitter to propose an immediate title shot rather than waiting for Colby Covington to challenge for the title first.

He wrote:

"Let’s make @bullyb170 Vs Leon Edwards in Abu Dhabi, makes all the sense to me"

The UFC welterweight title situation has been a topic of discussion among the MMA community as Muhammad has fought and defeated top contenders, meanwhile 'Chaos' hasn't fought since his unanimous decision win over Jorge Masvidal last March. Regardless of the criticism from other welterweight contenders, UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Covington will indeed be challenging Edwards for his welterweight title next.
