BREAKING: Darren Till speaks out on departure from UFC, reveals personal reason behind decision to request release
Darren Till made his UFC debut in 2015 and quickly rose to stardom with wins over Donald Cerrone and Stephen Thompson. But following a string of recent losses in the promotion, the former title challenger was released, much to the surprise of the MMA community.
Till has now cleared up any rumors about his departure, stating that he requested to be released from his contract to "sort some other s**t for the foreseeable". The middleweight also stated that his relationship with UFC president Dana White and Vice President Hunter Campbell is still healthy.

The Scouser has also been hampered by a series of injuries and suffered ligament damage to his knee against Dricus du Plessis in his last fight at UFC 282.
Darren Till took to Twitter to explain his UFC exit, and said this:
"What’s happening everyone, Me, Dana & Hunter are still cool as f*ck. I asked UFC 2 to remove me just 2 sorts some other sh*t for the foreseeable, They happily agreed to release me from the contract which I appreciate. I’m not going anywhere, got big plans to execute & I’ll be back."

Darren Till went undefeated in his first six UFC bouts, winning five and drawing one. The Scouser tasted defeat for the first time in the promotion against Tyron Woodley at UFC 228 in 2018 when he fought for the welterweight title. Since then, he has lost four of the last five fights.
However, 'The Gorilla' has faced stiff opposition with his recent defeats coming at the hands of Dricus du Plessis, Robert Whittaker, Dereck Brunson, and Jorge Masvidal.
Hopefully, when Darren Till decides to return to the UFC, he will be able to find his way back to the title shot with a run of impressive performances.
Darren Till labels Jon Jones as the GOAT ahead of his UFC return
Darren Till has labeled Jon Jones' return to the UFC octagon as the re-emergence of the GOAT. 'Bones' is set to take on Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 285 this weekend.
Jones has not competed since February 2020, when he defeated Dominick Reyes by the unanimous decision. He vacated the light heavyweight title in August 2020 and announced he would be moving up to heavyweight.
Jon Jones has taken the necessary time to build up muscle and develop a heavyweight frame, and he reportedly weighs roughly 250 pounds.
Darren Till regards Jones as the best MMA fighter of all time, an opinion shared by many in the MMA community. 'Bones' has an impressive list of records, including the youngest UFC champion ever, the most wins in UFC title fights (14), and the longest unbeaten streak in UFC history (18).
