BREAKING: Jake Paul's coach gets shot in armed robbery - Latest update
BJ Flores, one of Jake Paul's boxing coaches, has been the victim of an armed robbery and is currently in hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
The 44-year-old shared the news across his social media and detailed the situation. According to Flores, he was robbed whilst his car was stopped at a red light in Medellin, Colombia. The gunman then appeared at the passenger's side and held a gun to Flores's head, who managed to move the weapon away from his face, resulting in him being shot in the leg.
"Armed robbery at Gunpoint... At a red light in Medellin Colombia on passenger side.. Pistol to my right temnle, I was able to move the weapon down and manage to only get shot in the leg one time. Hospital now waiting for surgery to remove the bullet. Thank GOD I'm alive."
The former boxer also sent fans an update on his Instagram story from his hospital bed. Thankfully, it appears as though the surgery will be routine to remove the bullet and 'El Peligroso' is expected to make a full recovery.
Flores said on Instagram:
"They asked me for my wallet, watch and everything. We were definitely targeted...I'm still alive, everything's good, I'm happy. The doctors came up and told me we got surgery coming up now. I'll be under for maybe an hour and get this thing out quick."
Jake Paul demands licensed boxing match against Floyd Mayweather
Earlier this month, Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather were pictured having an altercation outside an NBA game in Miami.
In the video first shared by TMZ Sports, Mayweather and his entourage surrounded Paul outside the stadium, who stood with only a single security guard. After some verbal back-and-forth between the two men, 'The Problem Child' then escaped the situation by running away.
Following the incident, Jake Paul took to Twitter to demand a boxing match with Mayweather to settle their beef. The former Disney channel star revealed that 'Money's team has regularly contacted him to organize and exhibition bout, but Paul only wants to face the 46-year-old in a sanctioned boxing match.
Jake Paul wrote:
"Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight. That's a fact. His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his "exhibitions". Now he ambushes me. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bullsh*t."
