Comparing Conor McGregor's $20,000 Patek Philippe with Oleksandr Usyk's watch flaunted at Anthony Joshua's fight

As major boxing fight cards tend to do, the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois event attracted several wealthy spectators. Two of the most affluent combat sports athletes, Conor McGregor and Oleksandr Usyk made the trip to Wembley Stadium to watch the fight from the front row on Sept. 21.

After the main event ended, McGregor and Usyk met backstage in a heartwarming encounter that fans enjoyed. Many with a keen eye for top-dollar accessories noted that both athletes sported lavish wristwatches when shaking hands.

McGregor, a known fan of expensive attire, flashed a Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse, priced at $23,884. Despite its high price tag, it is likely not even close to the most expensive accessory 'The Notorious' owns.

Usyk, fresh off the most lucrative night of his career when he became the undisputed boxing heavyweight champion on May 18, countered with a white gold Rolex Submariner. The Ukrainian's watch is priced at nearly double the value of Mcgregor's at over $40,000.

Conor McGregor and Oleksandr Usyk's net worth

It is uncontested that in two sports full of athletes struggling financially, Conor McGregor and Oleksandr Usyk are two of the most successful fighters in that department.

Per Celebrity Net Worth, McGregor is one of the wealthiest athletes in the world —if not the wealthiest — with an estimated net worth of $200 million. A bulk of his earnings have come from fighting but most of them stem from his external businesses including his alcoholic brands, Proper No. 12, Forged Irish Stout, and Black Forged Inn.

On top of his liquor-based brands, McGregor is also a part-owner of the BKFC and has founded his athletic-based brands McGregor Sports and Entertainment and McGregor Fast.

Conversely, Usyk has made most of his wealth from boxing. Celebrity Net Worth estimates 'The Cat' with a total value of $40 million with most of that coming from his last fight with Tyson Fury in May. Usyk is set for another major payday when he rematches Fury in December.
