Conor McGregor involved in backstage scuffle with Urijah Faber (video), McGregor and Faber comment
Shortly before the UFC 189 weigh-ins this evening, Conor McGregor was involved in a minor backstage scuffle with Urijah Faber, the teammate of his opponent at UFC 189 on Saturday night, Chad Mendes.
As seen in the video below, the greeting appeared to be friendly before McGregor rubbed Faber's head. Faber then grabbed a hold of McGregor's body, prompting McGregor to attempt an arm drag on Faber, which resulted in Faber pushing McGregor into the wall before the scuffle was quickly broken up.
"I arm dragged him into a double, I could have dropped him on his head right there and then," McGregor said of the altercation. "Nothing happened."
Faber had a different take, posting the following message on Instagram taking a shot at McGregor's wrestling skills:
Looks Connor's Jr high level wrestling hasn't learned the drag re-drag drill yet. I've seen crack heads roaming the streets that look healthier than McGregor right now. @ufc @teamalphamalemma
